The Canadian Centre For Child Protection (C3P) is a non-for-profit organizing fighting to remove child sexual assault material (CSAM) from the internet. The scale of the problem is astronomically horrific, and eliminating CSAM is impossible without the help of big tech platforms like Twitter or Dropbox. Now you’d think big tech would want to address this horrific issue, but for all kinds of crazy reasons they aren’t motivated join the fight. Our challenge was to pressure big tech by raising public awareness of this issue.
INSIGHT
For victims of childhood sexual assault, the only initial sexual assault is only the beginning of a cycle of trauma.
STRATEGY
Vilify big tech by dramatizing their role in enabling a horrific cycle of trauma that is allowed to continue when CSAM is left unaddressed.
